How do I get a document notarized at Atlanta Notary Mobile?
To have your documents notarized, firstly, make an appointment with us. You have the option to come to our location or have our mobile notary service come to you. Remember to sign the document in the presence of the notary and bring a valid form of identification. We accept various forms of ID, including Georgia driver’s licenses, US and foreign passports, and green cards. Social security cards and credit cards are not accepted as valid identification.
What types of documents can be notarized?
Atlanta Notary Mobile can notarize documents containing a signer's commitment, an original signature, and notarial certificate language. This includes documents for individuals in hospitals or care facilities. However, we cannot notarize undated documents, birth, marriage, or death certificates, and certain federal documents.
Are there any documents that Atlanta Notary Mobile cannot notarize?
As a Georgia notary, we are unable to certify photocopies of birth, marriage, or death certificates. For these documents, you should contact the relevant state or county office. Additionally, we cannot notarize federally-issued documents such as FBI Criminal History Reports or Certificates to Foreign Governments.
What is the pricing cap for notarization in Georgia?
In Georgia, notarization fees are capped at $2 per notarial act (stamp). We offer a discounted rate of $1 for military personnel and veterans upon presenting valid military or veteran status identification. Please note that dispatch, travel, and additional fees are billed separately.
Does Atlanta Notary Mobile have a physical office for appointments?
It is a fully mobile service, offering appointments at client's locations like homes or public places.
Can Atlanta Notary Mobile notarize a signature without the signer present?
No, the signer must be present as Georgia law does not allow notarizing without the signer's presence.
